Hilley v. Allstate

Verdict of $2,000,000 affirmed (Etowah County). The Hilley's house burned down. Allstate refused to pay under their homeowner's policy because the Hilleys did not rebuild their house. The Hilleys could not rebuild their house due to the failure of Allstate to pay on the insurance policy. (Reported case).

Eunice Dobson v. Confidential Defendant

Settlement of $935,000 (Randolph County). Eunice Dobson was a patient in a nursing home. She was raped while she was in the nursing home, and subsequently died as a result of the injuries sustained in the rape.

Curtis Parks & Rosa Parks v. Cincinnati Insurance

Settlement of $889,000 (Jefferson County). Insurance fraud from stacking of uninsured motorist policies.

Michael and Sherry Harmon v. Superior Gas Co.

Settlement of $650,000 (Chambers County). A gas truck pulled out in front of the Harmons, who suffered back injuries as a result.

Woodard v. Monarch Life Insurance Co.

Settlement of $550,000 (Calhoun County). Fraud case involving a disability policy. This case was settled during trial.

Settlement of $400,000 (Tallapoosa County). Fraud in the sale of an insurance policy.
