ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE SHUTS DOWN AURORA MOBILE IV AND WELLNESS

Morris Haynes has been retained to represent patients of Aurora Mobile IV and Wellness. Aurora and its employees provided clients non-FDA approved “gray market” weight loss injections. Dozens of clients were injected with a chemical that is not approved for human or veterinary use.

Injuries Caused by Unapproved Chemicals

Clients were injured when the unapproved experimental chemicals were used in place of FDA-approved weight loss injections. Clients were exposed to unknown health risks by the experimental drugs and suffered physical injuries and emotional distress from these “gray market” chemicals. Some clients even experienced the chemicals crystalizing or coagulating to a substance so thick it could not exit the syringe Aurora gave them.

Attorney Statement on the Seriousness of the Case

Attorney Jeremy Knowles stresses the disturbing and dangerous nature of the allegations. “This is one of the worst cases I have seen. Aurora assured its clients they would receive FDA-approved medication but instead administered chemicals unapproved for human or animal use. We pray our clients suffer no long-term side effects.”

Business Operations and Statewide Impact

Aurora Mobile IV and Wellness is based in Cullman, Alabama, but as a mobile clinic, it has treated patients from around the state, including Alexander City.

Attorney General’s Raid and Temporary Shutdown

The Attorney General’s office raided the facility on Friday, temporarily shutting down Aurora’s Cullman storefront. The Circuit Court of Cullman County issued a temporary restraining order against Aurora Mobile IV and Wellness LLC (doing business as Aurora IV and Wellness) and the businesses’ owners, Amanda and Chris Medders.

Restrictions Imposed by the Court

The temporary restraining order prohibits the defendants from engaging in business in the healthcare industry in the State of Alabama while the order is in effect. The Attorney General further asked the court to issue a preliminary injunction against the defendants and to extend the temporary restraining order’s provisions until the case is resolved. The court scheduled a hearing on the Attorney General’s request for a preliminary injunction for November 13, 2025.
