Aurora IV And Wellness: Lawsuit Filed After Patients Injected with Unapproved Chemicals

Morris Haynes filed a lawsuit for Aurora Mobile IV and Wellness patients who received non-FDA-approved “gray market” weight loss injections instead of FDA-approved drugs. Attorney Jeremy Knowles states, “When healthcare providers tell us they are giving an FDA-approved medication, we should be able to trust them.”

According to the lawsuit, patients were exposed to unknown, dangerous health risks by the experimental chemical. The law firm’s investigation has revealed that patients suffered physical injuries, including fainting, headaches, muscle weakness, and even hospitalization. Many experienced the chemicals crystallizing or coagulating to a substance so thick it could not exit the syringe Aurora gave them. Morris Haynes has discovered that patients began receiving these “gray market” injections as early as May 2025.

Aurora Mobile IV and Wellness is based out of Cullman, Alabama, with locations in Alexander City and Alabaster. As a mobile clinic and telehealth provider, the clinic has treated patients statewide, and patients from Cullman, Madison, Shelby, and Tallapoosa counties have contacted Morris Haynes.

The Attorney General’s office raided Aurora Mobile IV and Wellness LLC on Friday, issued a temporary restraining order against the business and its owners, Amanda and Chris Medders, and shut down the clinic. Attorney General Steve Marshall stated, “Patients who relied on this clinic received substances labeled strictly for research use, which federal regulators explicitly warn are risky for human use.”

The lawsuit also states that Aurora IV and Wellness affiliates fraudulently marketed, purchased, and sold the experimental chemical supplied in bulk by Vera Research, named in the suit.  Aurora IV and Wellness owners Chris and Amanda Medders and providers Blair Gilliland and Devid Eckard, MD.
