his is a wrongful death case involving a helicopter crash in Tuscaloosa County in August of 2014 that resulted in the death of the passenger David Carson, a long time employee of Alabama Power, and the pilot, an employee of defendant Rotorworks. The helicopter was patrolling the transmission lines in Tuscaloosa County when the helicopter contacted a shield wire and crashed. This case is pending in Federal Court in Birmingham.
